These developments give individuals with dermatological disorders that are difficult to treat fresh hope.
Dermatology of Cosmetics:
Treatment in dermatology advanced With developments in non-invasive aesthetic treatments including chemical peels, laser therapy, and injectables, cosmetic dermatology is still evolving.
Light therapy, or phototherapy
Under control, ultraviolet (UV) light exposure can lessen inflammation and slow down the proliferation of skin cells. PUVA (psoralen plus ultraviolet A) and narrowband UVB are two popular phototherapy methods.
Lifestyle Adjustments
Reducing the frequency and intensity of flare-ups can be achieved by managing stress, keeping a healthy weight, abstaining from smoking and drinking alcohol, and taking proper care of your skin. Maintaining the health and look of the skin, an organ that acts as a barrier of defense for the body, is crucial for general dermatology treatment. Dermatologists are at the forefront of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention for everything from common skin issues to serious diseases in general dermatologist clinics. For people of all ages, having good dermatological health is facilitated by adopting preventive measures, remaining knowledgeable about skincare techniques, and taking advantage of the most recent developments in the field. I have Acute Lymphoblastic Leukosis aka Blood Cancer
buckle up :D
This post should've been here for sometime now cuz I prefer keeping everyone updated across all the platforms that I use as an artist.
So - Hi! My name is Evein, on 1st of May 2023 I turned 21 and since then, from 5th of May my health decided to pull a quick one on me, propelling the events that currently make me reside at the hospital with an oncology.
It all started with a tonsillitis-like fever, accompanied by furunclosis in three places on my body, a high fever that lasted for 5 days in the first half of May itself and other unpleasant symptoms. It felt weird, I've never had such an intense streak of sicknesses kick my ass like that, but of course - I went to doctors to get checked, the classic blood testings and general examinations and stuff.
That's when on 10th of May my blood test was checked by a dermatologist regarding my furuncle problem and - after some brief moments of her talking with the main doctor at the clinic - I was rushed to the governmential hospital due to the fact that my blood results had... no white blood cells. Literally 1.83 at the accepted range being much higher than that.
Needless to say I was fucking shocked, I've never dealt with the severity of the situation and let alone while being completely on my own as a human person (working, living, providing for myself, you call it).
At the hospital, after several examinations and another blood test came the recommendation paper that doctors signed with urgency, first and foremost I needed to get to an appointment at the hematologist's. That I did on 14th of May and since that point of time, till 19th, I'd been monitored, given antibiotics for my tonsillitis-like symptoms, along with my furunclosis and after 19th we ruled out the condition to be leukosis, became my white blood cells started coming back to normal with the antibiotics aiding my immunity, but despite that - thr condition still seemed as something more reminiscent of mononucleosis (which, however, in another blood test was disproven).
After exactly a week of feeling better, albeit dealing with leftover anemia, I started developing the same symptoms back and even worse, to the point of losing consciousness and thrwoing up in an elevator on 29th of May after going out for the second pack of antibiotics my hematologist had then already approved of to use to help out.
That's when I was rushed to the hospital again and - the next day - my hematologist arranged an appointment at the big clinic that has an oncology ward specifically for my situation. On 1st of June I was officially admitted with Acute Leukosis (the diagnosis doc attached is in Russian).
Since 1st of June the treatment has been ongoing, I've received three rounds of chemo along with supporting hormonal abd antibiotic therapy. Me is balding too, ofc. :D
And thus, this story leads to a logical question - what's now?
It's day 24 of my treatment, out of 4-6 weeks of inital induction period of leukosis' treatment (the overall chemotherapy to destroy tumor cells down to <5% in my bone marrow). After the induction period, if it's proven to lead to remissions - I'm then admitted out to certain periods of time in between infusions + need to take supporting medicine by myself (hence buying it too).
As an independent freelance artist who's existence is tied to being able to do creative work out of, well, any circumstances, I was sadly forced into situation of asking for monetary support, simply because it's stupid to expect to break your own back trying to work harder when you're body is collapsing on itself.
I have a goal on Boosty open for donations and I deeply appreciate ANY and I mean ANY traction of this post. I made a similar thread on Twitter covering the situation and have recieved a lotnof incredible support that has helped me a LOT so far, but my treatment is ongoing, or to be precise - will last in its entirety for 2-3 years. With the momentary help I was able to secure my living situation and get my pet cat to live for the current time period at my friend's, but you understand how that is just a temporary measure and, of course, I don't plan on stall myself - I simply just can't afford that even while hospitalised.
BOOSTY is very sus when it comes to singular donations higher than 120$ but if you happen to donate below that or in several different ones to bypass their antifraud system (only if you wish to) - the link to a goal is here -

a couple of years ago, i started having an allergic reaction. i broke out in hives on my legs, and i could not stop scratching. i would wake up in the middle of the night because i had drawn blood. i would sit on my couch and itch and itch and itch. now, i’ve never had this kind of reaction before; as far as i knew i wasn’t allergic to anything other than nickel, which i obviously didn’t have on or around me in any way. i knew whatever it was was in my apartment, because i didn’t itch at work or anywhere else, but i couldn’t figure it out. i hadn’t changed any soaps or fabrics or anything recently.
so i went to my GP, who shrugged and immediately sent me to a dermatologist. this was great to me, because i wanted an allergy test. from onset of itching to seeing this dermatologist, it was probably about four weeks, and while the itching waxed and waned, i was still covered in scabs when i finally saw someone who could help.
so i get my appointment, and i explain to the dermatologist what the problem is. less than a minute into the appointment, she interrupts me. that’s not a real thing i’m describing, she says. it’s not possible.
she takes my arm, and she runs a wooden…i don’t know, tongue depressor? down my arm. it immediately raises in an angry red line.
“you overproduce histamine. take a claritin”
i’ve never had a problem like this before, i say. i would like to get a general allergy test.
“it would be a waste of time. if you are still itching after the claritin, then maybe in another eight weeks.” and she leaves. i waited four weeks and she saw me for about five minutes.
i’m angry, but i take the claritin. it’s incredibly dehydrating on top of the other meds i take, so i take it for a few days and quit.
the itching…recedes. it’s on and off. it doesn’t get as bad as it was in those first few weeks again. i look up what she’s written in my chart. urticaria, common name hives. she diagnosed me with hives. no explanation for why i had a spontaneous outbreak of hives. i simply had hives.
there’s another thing, listed at the bottom, “dermatographic component.” i look up dermatographia. “dermatographia is harmless,” the mayo clinic says, “most people who have this condition do not need treatment. It tends to be more common in teens and young adults.” I am thirty, and I do need treatment. There’s one more thing in my chart: “Urticaria education provided and all questions answered.” Really. News to me.
I am SO frustrated, but the itching isn’t bad enough anymore to keep pursuing it. i am defeated. i still think about it, occasionally, on and off. She is right, about the dermatographia. It’s the cause of what they call “skin writing.” But if I redo that test, making a red line along my arm or even on my leg where the hives were, it doesn’t itch enough for me to scratch it to bloodiness. But I still don’t have any good answers about why, for about two months, I broke out in hives so bad I had to be fully clothed every second of my day.
unrelated to that, i just read about an autoimmune condition that causes you to have random allergic reactions apropos of nothing. it’s fine. no big deal!

Influencers Shaping Public Health Misinformation: "Dr. Tiktok" and Mukbang Culture
MDA20009 Digital Communities │ Week 7: Public Health Campaigns
Are you like me and every other human on this planet? Always on the phone, doomscrolling through Tiktok, Instagram reels and Youtube.
Undeniably, it has now gone out of bounds as social media can be a great source of entertainment, but they've also let the floodgates open for a lot of misinformation generally with reference to health and wellness. Once you spend long enough on such platforms, towards the end, you will begin to observe the visible rise of self-proclaimed "experts" giving out advice on every health issue, from mental to skincare, which is starting to raise eyebrows.
On the other hand, influencers involved in Mukbang culture are distorting the message about eating habits and body image. Their unethical health narratives, though not clearly disseminated, confuse the followers and damage public health campaigns well-designed to give accurate, science-backed messages.
The Rise of Self-Proclaimed Health Experts
TikTok's short video format encourages users to share quick tips, life hacks, and advice, earning it the nickname "the therapist's couch of Gen Z" (Weikle, 2024). Although it owes a great deal to destigmatizing mental health and making it easier to talk about issues, there have also been concerns about misinformation. Indeed, the unqualified pretender plays out their authority over complex issues, such as mental health, nutrition, or skincare.
Self-diagnosis and providing mental health advice has been an emerging trend as of late. The "Dr. TikToks" profess to know all the symptoms of illnesses like depression, anxiety, or ADHD and can influence viewers into self-diagnosing rather than visiting a professional. Research by the University of British Columbia found that of the 100 most popular TikTok videos about ADHD, over half contained misleading information, most of which relied on personal experiences rather than being clinical experts (Weikle, 2024).
Another disturbing thing is that some influencers take up roles as skincare experts by providing tips on easy access to perfect skin through their 'magic' ingredients. One infamous example is the TikTok influencer/physician's assistant (TikTok handle: devthepa) who promoted beef tallow, a rendered fat from beef, as a skincare miracle. According to her, beef tallow could give your skin a glowy look, like DUH, of course, fat is oil, so of course, it gives that "glowy effect" when, in reality, it's just oily. Dermatologists quickly debunked these claims. Despite concerning warnings, the video still went viral, and many people, particularly younger followers, began to follow this advice without understanding how useless it is.
Misinformation tends to be left unchecked. That underlines the utility of unverified advice. TikTok encourages conversations that can help destigmatize mental illness yet lends themselves to those throaty mouths and parroting personal anecdotes mixed with professional credentials as influencers.
Mukbang Culture: The Illusion of Eating Without Consequences
A comparison between 2 famous Mukbangers: Eat with Boki and Nikocado Avocado
Mukbang has invaded the world, coming from South Korea, where influencers devoured high volumes of food while engaging viewers. The practice has gained much prominence on sites like YouTube and TikTok. Mukbangers mainly eat a lot of calories while looking like they ate nothing at all through some strenuous workouts to attain and maintain their healthy-looking figures. This world creation misleads the average person into believing there are no health risks associated with overeating, especially when the influencers do not mention calorie deprivation or editing tricks (Amrane, 2020).
Encouragement towards excessiveness has been opposed to measures taken on public health with regard to balanced eating. Mukbang content may provide some retreat for viewers, or even a little companionship, but it then normalizes excessive consumption and food choice itself for being excessively unhealthy for audiences. For younger groups, this distortion can ruin their standards toward the reality of nutrition as well as create misinterpretations in eating patterns. Mukbang culture, according to Amrane (2020), relies on and impacts instant gratification sacrifices for long-term health, forming an unhealthy aspect over food.
The social consequences are huge. Public health efforts, such as anti-obesity campaigns, speak about moderation and mindful eating, while mukbangs endorse a lifestyle of excess, which is contrary. Beyond the individual consequences, this trend reveals a more universal ethical dilemma: waste normality and overconsumption in a world where there is still hunger.
The Dangers of Medical and Health Misinformation
Self-proclaimed medical experts and mukbang influencers on social media are more interested in entertainment and sponsorships than in the well-being of their audience, advertising useless supplements, self-medication and the wrong lifestyle. This shifts reliance from true healthcare providers to fake ones, thus allowing fake health information to spread quickly and widely without fact checking. The main characteristic of social media, which is lack of regulation, assists the spread of these fabrications to millions and complicates efforts in promoting public health.
Combating Misinformation: Key Strategies
So, how do we combat this growing wave of misinformation?
Platform Accountability: social media platforms take greater responsibility for what is shared online. While Instagram and TikTok have made important strides in tackling some harmful content, there is much further to go with respect to health-related advice from credible sources. Such platforms should focus their attention on verified health professionals and improve tools for flagging or reporting misleading advice.
Adapt Public Health Campaigns: Partner up with relevant influencers to relay accurate, engaging, and evidence-based health information.
Promote Media Literacy: Educate the public to tell the difference between real health advice from personal stories or unverifiable claims.
Conclusion
In an age of social media where viewpoints on health and wellness are created, this has become an important point for all awareness and updates. The healer "Dr TikTok" and, of course, Mukbang culture gives importance to the phrase mentioned above in such a way that it shows the power and pitfalls of digital platforms in the public health sphere.
Merely holding internet platforms accountable in dealing with misinformation, changing public health campaigns to bring them into the digital contemporary space, and building media literacy are steps to a country where more citizens benefit from being well-informed and health conscious. Public health campaigns must reform in the Internet age, ensuring that the right information reaches audiences before the wrong messages go viral.

How to Remove Arm Hair Permanently
Unwanted arm hair can be a nuisance for many, affecting confidence and comfort. Thankfully, there are effective methods to achieve smooth, hair-free arms permanently. In this guide, I will explain how you can remove arm hair permanently using the most advanced techniques available.
Understanding Permanent Arm Hair Removal
Permanent arm hair removal involves techniques that target hair follicles to prevent future hair growth. The most popular and effective method is laser hair removal. This procedure uses concentrated light to destroy hair follicles, resulting in permanent hair reduction.
Steps to Remove Arm Hair Permanently
Step 1: Consultation with a Dermatologist
The first step towards permanent arm hair removal is consulting with a dermatologist. A professional evaluation will help determine the best course of treatment based on your skin type and hair texture.
Step 2: Preparing for the Procedure
Preparation is crucial for a successful laser hair removal session. Here are some essential tips:
Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of the sun for at least six weeks before treatment. Sun exposure can make the skin more sensitive and prone to adverse reactions during and after the procedure.
Shave the Area: Shave your arms 24 hours before the procedure to allow the laser to target hair follicles more effectively. This also reduces the risk of burns on the surface of the skin.
Avoid Other Hair Removal Methods: Refrain from waxing or plucking as these can interfere with the laser treatment. In order for the laser to target hair properly, these treatments eliminate the hair from the root.
Step 3: The Laser Hair Removal Process
During the laser hair removal session, a specialized laser device is used to target and destroy hair follicles. Here's what to expect:
Application of Cooling Gel: A cooling gel is applied to the treatment area to protect your skin and enhance the laser's effectiveness.
Laser Treatment: The laser is directed at the hair follicles. You might feel slight discomfort, but it is generally tolerable. A common description of the feeling is that of a rubber band cracking against the skin.
Post-Treatment Care: After the treatment, you can have some redness and swelling, but these should go away in a few hours.
Step 4: Post-Treatment Care
Appropriate post-treatment guarantees optimal outcomes and reduces possible negative effects.
Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect your arms from direct sunlight to prevent skin irritation. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher if you need to go outdoors.
Use Mild Skincare Products: Avoid using harsh chemicals on the treated area. To lower the chance of irritation, choose soft, fragrance-free items.
Moisturize Regularly: Keep your skin hydrated to promote healing. Use a soothing lotion or aloe vera gel to calm the skin.
Step 5: Multiple Sessions
Achieving permanent arm hair removal requires multiple sessions. Most individuals need 6-8 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. This allows the laser to target hair in different growth stages effectively.
Benefits of Laser Hair Removal for Arm Hair
Choosing laser hair removal for permanent arm hair removal offers several advantages:
Precision: Targets hair follicles without damaging surrounding skin.
Speed:In a split second, a single laser pulse can cure several hairs at once.
Long-Term Results: Provides lasting hair reduction, significantly reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.
Common Concerns About Laser Hair Removal
Is Laser Hair Removal Safe?
In general, laser hair removal is safe when done by a dermatologist with training. The procedure has been extensively studied and is approved by health authorities for safe use. Side effects are usually minimal and temporary, such as redness and swelling.
Does Laser Hair Removal Hurt?
The discomfort associated with laser hair removal is often compared to the snap of a rubber band against the skin. Most people tolerate the procedure well, and many clinics offer numbing creams or cooling devices to enhance comfort during treatment.
What Are the Costs Involved?
The size of the treatment area and the number of sessions needed determine how much laser hair removal will cost. Although it could appear pricey at first, the long-term advantages and savings on other hair removal expenses make it an investment well worth it.
Alternatives to Laser Hair Removal
While laser hair removal is the most effective method for permanent arm hair removal, there are other options you might consider:
Electrolysis
Electrolysis is another permanent hair removal method that involves inserting a fine needle into the hair follicle and applying an electric current to destroy it. This method is effective but can be time-consuming as each hair follicle is treated individually.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
IPL uses broad-spectrum light to target hair follicles, similar to laser hair removal. It is less precise than laser treatment but can be effective for some people. There are IPL equipment for use at home as well.
Preparing for Your Laser Hair Removal Appointment
To ensure the best results and minimize any risks, here are additional tips to prepare for your laser hair removal appointment:
Discuss Medical History: Inform your dermatologist about any medical conditions, medications, or previous skin treatments. Certain medications and conditions can affect your skin's reaction to the laser.
Avoid Tanning: Tanned skin can increase the risk of side effects and make the treatment less effective.Prior to your session, stay away from self-tanners and tanning beds for at least two weeks.
Stay Hydrated: Drinking plenty of water helps keep your skin hydrated and may improve the treatment's effectiveness.
Aftercare Tips for Optimal Results
After your laser hair removal session, follow these aftercare tips to ensure the best results and minimize any potential side effects:
Apply Cool Compresses: If you experience redness or swelling, apply cool compresses to the treated area to soothe the skin.
Avoid Hot Showers and Baths: Hot water can irritate the treated skin. Opt for lukewarm showers and avoid hot tubs and saunas for at least 48 hours.
Exfoliate Gently: After a few days, gently exfoliate the treated area to help remove dead hair follicles. Use a soft cloth or mild exfoliating scrub.
What to Expect in the Long Term
Laser hair removal offers long-term hair reduction, but it is essential to understand what to expect over time:
Maintenance Sessions: While most people experience significant hair reduction, maintenance sessions may be needed once or twice a year to keep the area hair-free.
Hair Regrowth: Some hair may regrow over time, but it will likely be finer and lighter. Regular maintenance sessions can address any regrowth.
Choosing the Right Dermatologist
Selecting a qualified and experienced dermatologist is crucial for achieving the best results with laser hair removal. Consider the following factors when choosing a dermatologist:
Credentials: Ensure the dermatologist is board-certified and has specialized training in laser hair removal.
Experience: Look for a dermatologist with extensive experience in performing laser hair removal, particularly on arms.
Reviews and Testimonials: Check reviews and testimonials from previous patients to gauge their satisfaction with the treatment and results.
Conclusion
Permanent arm hair removal is achievable with the right approach and professional guidance. Laser hair removal stands out as the most effective method, providing lasting results and boosting confidence. If you're ready to embrace smooth, hair-free arms, book your appointment now and take the first step towards a confident new you.
By following these steps and choosing the right professional services, you can achieve the smooth, hair-free arms you've always wanted. With proper care and maintenance, the results of laser hair removal can be long-lasting, giving you the confidence to show off your arms without worry.

Not to be a party pooper but I did a literature hunt on this and I cannot find any actual scientific research that shows cats can see Blaschko lines on (genetically normal and healthy) humans :(
Additionally, Blaschko lines are not typically visible under UV light as is claimed here. Some people have (natural) chimerism where they actually have 2 sets of DNA from 2 separate embryos fusing in the womb into just one person or have natural mosaicism where sometimes one or a few cells of a single embryo end up with genome mutations causing the resulting person to have 2 sets of DNA. Sometimes the people with chimerism/mosaicism have visible Blaschko lines, but only if those two genomes have distinctly different levels of melanin production genes. Sometimes Blaschko lines of people with chimerism/mosaicism are only visible under UV because the melanin production from the cells of different embryonic origin are similar enough that under normal light to the naked (human) eye you can’t tell any difference (such as with Patchy disease) In that circumstance it’s possible that other animals might be able to see them when humans can’t. Also, certain rare forms of vitiligo and several other genetic skin conditions and certain rashes (oftentimes with an underlying genetic cause) can follow Blaschko lines, making them visible. Unfortunately, Blaschko lines of the general population aren’t typically visible under any light because there is just no significant pigmentation differences in their skin cells that follow Blaschko line patterns. (Note: significant UV a exposure may lead to the development of abnormal skin pigmentation patterns. Please wear sunscreen y’all you do NOT want skin cancer and abnormal pigmentation patterns from UV exposure mean there’s some DNA damage in your skin cells!!) In theory, someone could do an experiment to quantifiably measure exact melanin pigment levels in skin cells from different parts of a persons body using qPCR and that might be able to tell us if there are any slight pigmentation differences following Blaschko lines in humans with normal skin pigmentation patterns (aka not visible Blaschko lines even under UV) but I am not aware of any study that has done this.
Even though you and your cat probably can’t see your Blaschko lines, they are still very cool! The prevailing theory is that they follow the lines of your embryonic development. So for the people with visible (or semi visible) Blaschko lines, they can see the path their embryonic cells took in differentiating to make a person! How cool is that!!

(Sorry there weren’t more recent articles in my sources, I mostly looked at reviews cuz I’m not a dermatologist and didn’t want to get too deep in the paint with very specific skin conditions I’m not familiar with. Most general review articles about Blaschko lines I found are a couple decades old)
Tl:dr:
No, your cat *probably* can’t see your Blaschko lines unless you have a skin condition that causes them to be visible (both to the naked eye in normal light or just under UV) Blaschko lines are still very cool though!
Imagine an alien sharing a cool human fact they just learned like ”hey guys did you know that the silvery markings on humans actually aren’t true stripes? They’re called stretch marks, they happen when the human is growing fast enough to actually outgrow their skin, which is apparently something that just fucking happens to almost all of them at some point of their life.”
and another one is like ”wait so you’re saying humans don’t have stripes.”
”actually they do, but the stripes are invisible. There’s genetic code that’d give them stripes but they’re just the same colour as the rest of the skin. So the visible stripes are not real stripes and the real stripes are invisible.”
”I swear if you tell me one more weird human thing today I’m beating your ass.”

Flaunt Your Flawless Skin: Tips to Reduce Fine Line & Wrinkles
There are a lot of things that can take a toll on your skin health. For example, you may need to remember to drink sufficient water, slather on sunscreen, and overeat bad food. These things can stress out your skin and develop fine lines and wrinkles that you may not like.
But worry not. There are multiple ways to minimize wrinkles and crinkles on your skin. Keep scrolling through this blog to find out!
7 Must-Try Tips to Minimize Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Fine lines and wrinkles form as the skin ages naturally. If you don't like them in your skin, here are things that will help you to gain smooth skin:
1. Quit Smoking Immediately
According to a study from the National Library of Medicine, within 12 hours of quitting smoking, your blood oxygen levels automatically return to normal, meaning that your blood can carry nourishing oxygen to your skin cells. You’d also notice your skin looks much younger and more vibrant. In the long term, twin studies have demonstrated that the twin who does not smoke has fewer wrinkles than the twin who does.
2. Use Collagen Boosters
According to an NCBI study, the most direct and efficient method of replenishing your collagen stores is by taking collagen boosters. There are multiple types of collagen powder available on the market, including plant and marine collagen powder, that have undergone safety and efficacy tests in order to decrease wrinkles and lines within a few months.
3. Use Chemical Peels
This is actually a liquid treatment where you will get the upper layer of the damaged skin peeled away, in a specific part of the face. A chemical peel reveals younger-looking skin, which can significantly decrease the depth of wrinkles and diminish fine lines.
4. Don’t Over-wash Your Face
Over-washing your face will strip your skin of its natural oils that are important to keep your face moisturized and prevent the appearance of wrinkles. Over-washing can also make your skin dry and more susceptible to damage from free radicals. Therefore, stick to a water-only rinse in the morning and wash with a gentle cleanser at night.
5. Change Your Skin Care
Use products that contain alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) or Retin-A. Both products peel off the top layer of dead skin cells and debris, which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Your dermatologist can better recommend the type of anti-aging skin care products that best suit your needs..
6. Use Botox Injections
Botox is an easy and fast injection of protein that helps relax the muscles that cause wrinkles. You probably have a furrow between your brows if you squint often. The skin wrinkles because the muscle beneath the skin is wrinkling all the time. A botox treatment will relax these muscles and prevent future wrinkle development. Before doing this procedure, make sure to ask the specialist whether it can be suitable for your skin or not.
7. Try BroadBand Light Therapy (BBL/IPL)
BBL, a photofacial, employs intense pulsed light that removes damaged skin, generates new skin growth and repair, and stimulates collagen growth. Collagen is a type of skin protein that provides the skin its firmness, and decreases the appearance of fine lines.
To Sum Up
If you want to reduce fine lines and wrinkles on your face, you can try topical options, abstain from smoking, avoid over-wash your face, and handpick relevant (prescribed) clinical treatments like botox or BBL therapy. It will help soothe and lessen the prominence of these fine lines and wrinkles so you can own smoother and plumper faces. However make sure to consult with a dermatologist before you choose any treatments and the best decision.

What is a Thread Lift?
Thread lift is a non-surgical procedure which will lift sagging aging skin and stimulate collagen production to make your face or neck look more youthful. A dermatologist inserts medical-grade threads under the skin to pull the skin into place. These formulas stimulate the body’s natural healing response, increasing collagen production. Thread comes in many different materials and lengths. Unlike a facelift, a thread lift is a non-surgical procedure. This causes a slight change. It’s often called “lunchtime makeover” because it’s a quick process with minimal downtime.
What types of Thread Lift are there?
There are many types of thread lifts, such as:
Cat or fox eyelash lift: This involves lifting your eyebrows to the temples to make your eyes look more cat-like.
Eyebrow Thread lift: A dermatologist lifts sagging or obscure brows. and tighten your skin.
Nose Thread lift: A dermatologist injects threads to lift. Lengthen or make your nose smaller. In some cases, a nose thread lift may be combined with dermal fillers.
Neck Thread Lift: This procedure will lift sagging skin on your neck or make it smoother.
How long does a Thread Lift take?
The results of a thread lift are temporary and last for one to three years. As time passes, the threads will melt and will get absorbed into the body. If you like the results, another thread lift can execute the elevator process.
Who is the best choice for a Thread Lift?
In general, thread lifts are best suited for people who:
Feel the first signs of aging
It dates from the late 30’s to the early 50’s.

And because thread lift is a low-risk procedure, it is a good option for those who do not have the money to pay for traditional thread lifts or are scared of undergoing a surgical procedure. In certain situations, for example, you can get a thread lift if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart disease.
Is a Thread Lift worth it?
Thread lift is a relatively quick process. With little downtime and low risk, however, the results are subtle and fleeting.
Does Thread Lift hurt?
During the thread lift process, you will be given local anaesthesia. So one will not feel any pain. You may feel uneasiness, discomfort and slight symptoms of pain after the procedure. You can take pain relievers for a few days if needed.
Description of the process:
Before the Thread Lift procedure
Before undergoing thread lift, your dermatologist will address you in detail about what to anticipate during the thread lift procedure. The dermatologist will apply local anaesthesia. Hence, you will be conscious during surgery but not feel pain.
During the Thread Lift process
Temporary sutures are put into the skin during a thread lift treatment to tighten and raise sagging areas like the neck, jawline, and face. As they dissolve, these threads promote collagen production, enhancing skin texture and giving the appearance of natural lifting. Most patients only have slight swelling or bruising after the minimally invasive surgery, usually performed under local anaesthesia and needs little recovery time. The effects start to show immediately, and as collagen grows, they improve over time.
Recovery process after a Thread Lift
You can go home the same day as your thread lift procedure. You might get bruising and swelling over the treated area. Your dermatologist will give you tips on how to take care of your treatment site.
Some of the common tips include:
A cold compress or ice pack.
Not to wash the face for 24 hours.
Avoid applying makeup to the face for several days.
Cannot use any facial creams for many weeks.
Keep lying on supports.
Antibiotics are given to rule out infection.
What are the benefits of Thread Lift?
